Radio Voice Phenomenon (RVP) - Receiving the voice of a deceased human being through a regular radio.

– Communication by the sound of taps or knocks, as between medium and spirit during a séance.

Reciprocal Apparition
– An extremely rare type of spirit phenomenon in which both the agent and percipient are able to see and respond to each other.

– The belief that the soul, upon death of the body, is reborn into a new body or form.

Remote Viewing
– Used by some psychics, this is a procedure in which the percipient or psychic attempts to become physically aware of the experience of an agent who is at a distant, unknown location through ESP.

– An experience in which a person finds themselves in the past and is able to see and experience events in which they had no prior knowledge.

Remote Viewing (RV)
–Ability to access distant or shielded information primarily of visual character, such as natural or structural features, via an unknown mental process. RV can include other sensory modes, such as feelings, motion, or sound. Some individuals associate specific approaches, or protocols, with RV. Other similar terms: remote perception, enhanced perception, extrasensory perception (ESP).

Residual Haunting
– A type of haunting that is of the experiences from the former living imprinted in a specific location and continue to replay over and over with no regard to who or what is happening around it. Commonly it is of apparitions doing the same things or voices and sounds being heard at always the same time of the day. Many hauntings can be of this sort and are not necessarily animated by any conscious spirits.

– An experience in which a person finds themselves in the past and is able to see and experience events in which they had no prior knowledge.

– An established or prescribed procedure for a religious or solemn rite or ceremony. A ritual can be for either good or evil.

Scrying – A divination of distant or future events based on visions seen in a crystal ball, pool of ink, or deep water. Divination based on an analysis of reflections in water, on polished metal, or on precious stones was practiced by early humans, who probably interpreted these phenomena as a vision of the spirit world. Scrying became widespread by the 5th century A.D. and was shortly after condemned by the medieval Christian church as the work of the devil.

- A meeting or gathering of people, usually lead by a medium to receive spiritualistic messages, manifestations or communication with the dead.
Shaman - A member of certain tribal societies who acts as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world and who practices magic or sorcery for purposes of healing, divination, and control over natural events.

- An experiment in which the subject believes in the ability in which they are being tested.

Silky - A female spirit or ghost which performs domestic chores for a family after they have all retired for the night.

- This is a word used to describe the seeing of faces, figures and images in ordinary, everyday object such as rocks, foliage, etc.

Sleep Apnea
- A sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep.

Sleep Paralysis
- A state of seeming to be awake but unable to move.

- A ghostly apparition; a phantom (Ghost).

– A word, phrase, or form of words supposed to have magic powers. Two types are charm and incantations.

- The belief system that the dead are able to communicate with the living, through an intermediary or medium.

Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC)
– Known as the burning of the human body without an external source of ignition.

- Unexplained bodily marks, sores, or sensations of pain corresponding in location to the crucifixion wounds of Christ, said to be supernaturally impressed on the bodies of certain persons. Most commonly upon nuns, tertiaries, and monastics. St Francis of Assisi (1181/1182 - 1226) and Padre Pio (1887 - 1978) are the best documented cases.

Subjective Apparitions
- Hallucinations of apparitions or other phenomena that are created by our own minds.

Subliminal Perception
- Sensory impressions below the threshold of conscious awareness.

- A demonic entity said to inspire lust in men and then assaulting them.

- Of or relating to existence outside the natural world. As opposed to paranormal, the term "supernatural" often connotes divine or demonic intervention.

- Meaningful coincidences that often are mediated by subconscious psi activity. Our intuitive/psi faculty nudges our paths into meaningful intersections in times of need.
